Day 1 – Wildwaters Lodge – Jinja:
Drive to Jinja:
Your 7-day fun-filled, Kid-Friendly Family Safari-Wildlife Family Adventure begins. Your Family-Friendly Driver-Guide will pick you up at FamilyHotel in Entebbe at 8 am, and we will take you to Jinja, a three-hour-plus drive from Entebbe.
Take the Boat Cruise to Jinja
If your Safari starts on a Friday or Sunday, you can take a boat cruise on the MV Vanessa instead of driving to Jinja. This cruise lasts approximately two hours and takes place on Lake Victoria, which is the largest freshwater lake in Africa.
The boat ride begins at 10:30 am from the fishing village of Ggaba, which is about a 45-minute drive from Entebbe. The MV Vanessa is a modern boat with all the necessary safety equipment to ensure a comfortable journey to Jinja.
During the cruise, your Family will be accommodated in a comfortable cabin with large windows, allowing you to enjoy the scenic views of islands, fishing boats, and the villages along the shoreline.
Opting for the boat cruise is the most relaxing way to travel to Jinja, providing a unique and enjoyable experience for your Family.
Arrival in Jinja and your Welcome to Wildwaters Lodge:
To reach the Lodge, you will cross over to your private island by boat, where the welcoming staff of Wildwaters Lodge will receive your Family with grand hospitality.
Prepare to be amazed by your fantastic room, meticulously prepared to provide you with luxurious comfort. The highlight is the breathtaking view of the rushing River Nile behind your private cottage.

Afternoon Family Activities:
After a great lunch at Wildwaters Lodge, look around the island. A rainforest on the island, filled with colorful birds and primates, can be safely explored.
You can explore the Forest, Trees, plants, flowers, birds, and monkeys and notice the quiet only broken by the sound of the River Nile.
The Natural River Rock Swimming Pool is also available for you and your Family.
Before dinner, your Family will take the Sunset Cruise on the River Nile. The whole Family will enjoy something before you have dinner overlooking the River Nile.
Refreshments are served during the sunset cruise on the quiet portion of the River Nile.
Dinner back at the Lodge, music provided by the ancient River Nile. Dinner here is not just a dish but a five-course dinner.
One of the offerings for dinner is fresh fish such as Tilapia or Nile Perch from the Nile.

Day 2 – Wildwaters Lodge:
Awaken to the sounds of the ancient Nile and songbirds all around you – it is breakfast time, and some superb Ugandan coffee and hot cocoa to get you and your Family going for the day.
Your Family will enjoy a delightful kid-friendly breakfast overlooking the rushing River Nile. Pancakes or French Toast can be prepared for the children, along with eggs and sausages.
Today is a day for you and your Family to enjoy While on the Nile.
You can kayak, ride horseback along the Nile, and drive through the countryside and villages on an ATV Quad Vehicle. White water rafting can be done if the children are 16 or older. A Family Float on the Nile can be the Arran Family for younger children. Older children are alone; you can do something extreme, such as “Bungee Diving” into the Nile, which many might not want to do.

Day 3 -Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary:
Breakfast at Wildwaters Lodge is not your typical eggs and toast affair. It’s a complete meal allowing you to indulge while taking in the incredible surroundings of Africa’s 7 Wonders, the River Nile.
At 7:00 am, we will cross over to the mainland and go to Kampala. From there, we will head north to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. By noon, we will arrive at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and check into the cozy Amuka Lodge, which is situated right inside the sanctuary.
The accommodation at Amuka Lodge consists of spacious permanent tented cottages with ensuite bathrooms, providing a comfortable and convenient stay.
After settling into your tented cabin, you can enjoy a delightful lunch at the main Lodge, which offers a view of a swimming pool for guests to enjoy.
As Amuka Lodge is South African in style, you can expect barbecued chicken and beef to appear on the menu frequently. Additionally, vegetarian and vegan options are readily available. Since the Lodge is kid-friendly, there are menu items specifically catered to children, ensuring a delightful dining experience.

Rhino Trekking
In the Afternoon, your Family will go on a thrilling Rhino Trek. You will track rhinos on foot alongside guides and rangers during this activity. You will have the fantastic opportunity to get as close as 10 meters to the rhinos. This adventure is both exciting and safe for the whole Family. Typically, the tracking experience lasts around 90 minutes.
All children in your Family can participate in the Rhino Trek. There is no specific age limit or minimum age requirement for them to join. The experience is designed to be safe, and you will be accompanied by experienced rangers who will guide you throughout the trek and ensure your safety.
After the Rhino Trek, you can enjoy the Afternoon relaxing around the pool. For dinner, Amuka Lodge, located within the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, often arranges delightful barbecues for its guests. Day 4 – Murchison Falls Park -Paraa Safari Lodge:
After breakfast, we will continue our journey to Murchison Falls National Park, approximately three hours away. We will cross the Nile Bridge and check into Paraa Safari Lodge. This Lodge offers various options for your Family, including the Queen’s Cottage, which can accommodate a family of four with two rooms, a living room, and a spacious veranda overlooking the River Nile. If preferred, connected rooms can also be arranged at the main Lodge.
The Lodge features a swimming pool with splendid views of the Nile, and lifeguards are on duty to ensure safety. It is the ideal location for game drives and a boat safari along the Nile to the magnificent falls. Paraa Safari Lodge is known for being one of the most family-friendly lodges in Uganda, which is why we have chosen it for our family safaris.

We will take a family game drive across the savannah toward the late Afternoon.
Murchison Falls National Park offers a diverse and captivating wildlife experience. During your family game drive in the late afternoon, you will have the chance to see various animals in their natural habitat.
One of the unique features of Murchison Falls National Park is the presence of Borassus Palm Trees scattered across the savannah. These tall and distinctive trees give the landscape a distinct character that sets it apart from other savannahs in East Africa.
As you explore the park on your game drive, keep an eye out for magnificent lions, which are often spotted during game drives. You might also have the opportunity to spot a leopard, although they are more elusive. The park is known for its Rothschild giraffe population, characterized by their unique coat patterns. These graceful animals can be seen in large herds, gracefully moving across the landscape.
In addition to giraffes, you will encounter other herbivores, such as buffaloes and various antelope species. The park is teeming with multiple bird species, adding vibrant colors and beautiful melodies to the savannah.
To enhance your wildlife viewing experience, an Uganda Wildlife Authority Ranger will be onboard the vehicle alongside your driver-guide. Their expertise and knowledge will ensure that you don’t miss any significant sightings or exciting behaviors of the animals. Your driver-guide will take the time to slow down, stop, and even turn off the engine at times, allowing you to observe and capture the sights and sounds of the park without any distractions.

Day 5 – Murchison Falls Park:
Today, your Family is in for a special treat—a traditional Safari Bush Breakfast in Murchison Falls National Park. This unique experience is organized by Paraa Safari Lodge and Uganda Wildlife Authority Rangers staff, ensuring your Family’s safety while enjoying breakfast in the wilderness. It will be a memorable highlight of your Safari in Uganda.
The bush breakfast offers something for everyone, including your children. The menu will feature a variety of delicious dishes that both adults and children will enjoy.
After the satisfying breakfast, we will embark on a morning game drive with a Uganda Wildlife Authority Ranger. During the drive, you won’t miss much as your driver guide and ranger will be keen to point out animals that may be hidden from plain sight, ensuring you have the best chances to observe and appreciate the wildlife.
Following the game drive, your Family can unwind and relax by the pool, basking in the warm sunshine with the magnificent River Nile flowing below. Lunch will be served around 1:00 pm, nourishing the Afternoon’s activities.
The next exciting activity of the day is a midafternoon wildlife boat cruise along the Nile. This cruise allows you to explore the river’s beauty while spotting various wildlife species that gather near the water’s edge. It’s a fantastic opportunity to get closer to nature and witness the unique animal life that thrives in this diverse ecosystem.

Nile Boat Safari:
It’s a renowned Boat Safari up the River Nile in the Afternoon. The boat will cruise close to the river bank, allowing you to capture significant family photos of elephant herds, buffaloes, and antelopes.
You can spot the impressive Nile Crocodiles basking in the sun along the river’s edge during the boat safari. As you navigate the river, you will also encounter numerous hippos and pods of water birds. This boat safari is a favorite among children and parents, offering thrilling wildlife sightings and beautiful scenery.
Upon reaching the bottom of the falls, you will disembark and enjoy a guided walk along Murchison Falls, known as the world’s most powerful waterfall. As you walk, you will feel refreshed by the spray that occasionally drifts across the path. If your children are too young for this walk, you will take a downriver trip instead, where you can still enjoy spotting more wildlife, birds, and reptiles along the way.
Your driver-guide will be waiting to greet you once you reach the top of the falls. After briefly exploring the area, it will be time to head back to Paraa Lodge for the evening. Day 6 – Murchison Falls Park- Chobe Safari Lodge:
After breakfast at Paraa Safari Lodge, we will continue our journey to Chobe Safari Lodge, about a two-and-a-half-hour drive away. The drive will feel like a game drive, as you can see plenty of wildlife along the way.
Chobe Safari Lodge is a five-star resort in the wild along the Nile. It has been a preferred choice for famous personalities like Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, who enjoyed their stay here while visiting Murchison Falls National Park.
Upon arrival, you will be impressed by the various accommodation options available based on your Family’s size. These options range from rooms and suites to tents, including spacious deluxe tents and two cottages. The Presidential Cottage features two bedrooms, a sitting area, and a large private deck overlooking a lagoon along the Nile. Additionally, there is the Florence Baker Cottage, which is well-suited for families.

After lunch, it will be time to start your journey back to Entebbe. The drive will take some time; you can expect to arrive in Entebbe around five in the Afternoon.
Please, in the Afternoon, if your children are over 12 years old, you can add a visit to see chimpanzees in the nearby Budongo Forest instead of going on a game drive. It’s a beautiful opportunity to encounter these fascinating primates in their natural habitat.
