Day 1 – Wildwaters Lodge – Jinja:
Drive to Jinja:
Your 7-Day fun-filled Kid-Friendly Family Safari-Wildlife Family Adventure beings. Your Family-Friendly Driver-Guide will pick you up atFamilyHotel in Entebbe at 8 am, and we will take you to Jinja, a three-hour-plus drive from Entebbe.
Take the Boat to Jinja:
Should your Safari begin on a Friday or Sunday, you will take the MV Vanessa and cruise instead of driving to Jinja. This is a two-hour boat ride on Lake Victoria, the largest freshwater lake in Africa.
The boat ride begins in the fishing village of Ggaba at 10:30 am. Ggaba is 45 minutes from Entebbe. The MV Vanessa is a modern vessel with all the safety equipment needed to provide a comfortable cruise to Jinja.
Your Family will be in a comfortable cabin with large windows, so you do not miss the scenery of islands, fishing boats, and the villages on land.
This is the most relaxing way to get to Jinja, where your driver-guide will meet you and take you to Wildwaters Lodge on Muyanja Island amid the Nile Water conservation area.
We cross over to your private island for Family two days by boat; a family is welcomed in grand style by the friendly staff of WildWaters Lodge.
Your room is a fantastic delight; everything has been prepared for your comfort in a luxurious style. It cannot get any better. Before you, there is the rushing River Nile behind your private cottage.
The cottage is made from natural materials that abound here, impeccably decorated, all with you in mind, there is even a private bathtub on your deck where you can soak it all in.
Most certainly a unique ordinary experience at a one-of-a-kind location. The Lodge has been written about and featured in many TV Travel Programs and magazines.
Lunch is a delight and not a small meal. Making the surroundings you are in even more pleasant, enjoy. A kid-friendly menu is available at Wildwaters Lodge that they will delight in.
After a great lunch at Wildwaters Lodge, look around the island. There is a rainforest on the island that can be safely explored, and it is filled with colorful birds and primates.
You can explore the Forest, Trees, plants, flowers, birds, and monkeys and notice the quiet only broken by the sound of the River Nile.
The Natural River Rock Swimming Pool is also available for you and your Family.
Before dinner, your Family takes the Sunset Cruise on the River Nile. Something the whole family will enjoy before you have your dinner overlooking the River Nile.
Refreshments are served during the sunset cruise on the quiet portion of the River Nile.
Dinner back at the Lodge, music provided by the ancient River Nile. Dinner here is not just a dish but a five-course dinner.
One of the offerings for dinner is fresh fish such as Tilapia or Nile Perch from the Nile.

Day 2 – Wildwaters Lodge:
Awaken to the sounds of the ancient Nile and songbirds all around you – it is breakfast time, and some superb Ugandan coffee to get you going for the day.
Your Family will enjoy a delightful breakfast overlooking the rushing River Nile. Pancakes or French Toast can be prepared for the children, along with eggs and sausages.
Today you can choose to relax and be a human being instead of a human doing. You can go half-day or full-day white water rafting up to grade five.
You can kayak, ride horseback along the Nile, and drive through the countryside and villages on an ATV Quad Vehicle. If the children are 16 or older white water rafting can be done. A Family Float on the Nile can be the Arran family for younger children. Older children are alone; you can do something extreme, such as “Bungee Diving” into the Nile, which many might not want to do.

Day 3 -Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary:
Breakfast at Wildwaters Lodge is not merely a matter of eggs and toast but a full meal to enjoy as you experience one of the 7 Wonders of Africa – The River Nile around you.
We cross to the mainland at 7:00 am, head for Kampala, and move north to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. We reach Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary by noon and check into the Amuka Lodge. Amuka Lodge is a lovely safari lodge right inside Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
The rooms are in large permanent tented cottages with ensuite baths.
After settling in your tented cabin, you can have a delightful lunch at the main Lodge, which overlooks a swimming pool for guests.
Since the Lodge is South African, Barbequed chicken and beef are often on the Menu, and vegetarian and Vegan options are readily available. Since this is a Kid-Friendly Lodge, there are items on the Menu for the children that they delight in. Read more there about Amuka Lodge.
Rhino Trekking
During the Afternoon, your Family goes on the Rhino Trek. Here you track Rhinos on foot with guides and rangers, and you get as close as 10 meters to the Rhinos. It is an exciting adventure that is safe for the Family. Usually, the tracking is about 90 minutes in length.
All of the children will be able to participate. There is no age limit or minimum age for them to be able to participate in the Rhino Trek. It is a safe experience, and you are with experienced rangers who will guide you safely on the trek and back.
After the Rhino trek, enjoy the rest of the Afternoon around the pool, and dinnertime might be one of the delightful Barbeques Amuka Lodge puts on for its guest – enjoy dinner in the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Read more about Rhino Trekking here.

Day 4 – Murchison Falls Park -Paraa Safari Lodge:
Breakfast, and we continue to Murchison Falls National Park. It is about a three-hour drive. We cross the Nile Bridge and check into Paraa Safari Lodge. It is a larger Safari lodge with many choices for your Family, including the Queen’s Cottage. It can house a family of four in two rooms, a living room, and an extensive veranda overlooking the River Nile. Connected rooms can also be arranged at the main Lodge.
A swimming pool with views of the Nile. Lifeguards are on duty here. The Lodge is the best location for game drives and the boat safari up the Nile to the falls. It is one of the Kid-Friendliest Family Lodges in Uganda, and one reason we use it is for our Family Safaris.

We will take a family game drive across the savannah toward the late Afternoon. Here at Murchison Falls National Park, the savannah is studded with Borassus Palm Trees, which is different from the rest of the savannahs of East Africa. Afternoon, we will see some lions, a leopard here or there, and large herds of Rothschild Giraffes, Buffaloes, antelopes, and Savannah Birds.
There are lots to see for you, and to make sure that there is not much that you might miss, we have an Uganda Wildlife Authority Ranger onboard the vehicle – your driver-guide will slow down, stop – turn off the engine so that you do not miss a thing while on the game drive.

Day 5 – Murchison Falls Park:
Today is a traditional Safari Bush Breakfast for your Family in Murchison Falls National Park prepared by Paraa Safari Lodge Staff and Uganda Wildlife Authority Rangers to protect your Family while enjoying Breakfast in the wild. This is a highlight of your family safari in Uganda.
Your children will enjoy the variety of the food and the setting. The Menu will include all the favorites for adults and children alike.
After Breakfast, we take a morning game drive accompanied by an Uganda Wildlife Authority Ranger. There is not much your Family will miss since your driver guide and ranger will point out animals that you might miss as they are hidden away from plain sight.
After the game drive, your Family can relax along the pool and enjoy a bit of sunshine with the River Nile below you. Lunch is served around 1:00 pm, and your next activity this day is a midafternoon wildlife Boat Cruise up the Nile.
In the Afternoon is the famous Boat Safari up the River Nile. The boat moves closer to the river bank to get good family photo shots of elephant herds, buffaloes, and Antelopes,
Here, you will spot the vast Nile Crocodiles sunning themselves at the river’s edge. While in the river, there are many hippos and water bird pods. The Boat Safari is a hit with children and parents alike.
At the bottom of the falls, disembark and enjoy the guided walk along the most powerful waterfall in the world – Murchison Falls – you will be cooled off by the spray that comes across the path at times. If children are too young to take this walk–hike – we take the downriver trip and see more wildlife, birds, and reptiles on the way.
At the top of the falls, be greeted by your driver’s guide, and after a walk around, it is back to Paraa Lodge for the evening and dinner after an enjoyable day in the savannah and on the River Nile.

Day 6 – Murchison Falls Park- Chobe Safari Lodge:
After Breakfast at Paraa Safari Lodge, we continue to Chobe Safari Lodge. It is a two 1/2-Hour Drive through drive. You will see lots of wildlife along the way since it is like a game drive, except this one has a destination.
We arrive at Chobe Safari Lodge, a Five-Star Resort in Wild along the Nile. Famous notables that have chosen Chobe Safari Lodge for their Family include Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. They enjoyed their stay here and their time in Murchison Falls National Park.
Depending on your Family’s size, various options are available from rooms, suites, and tents, including large deluxe tents and two cottages, the Presidential Cottage with two bedrooms, a sitting area, and a huge private deck overlooking a lagoon along the Nile. There is also the Florence Baker Cottage that is ideally suited for a family.
Have lunch overlooking the Nile and enjoy the Lodge. The swimming pool is one of the best in all of Uganda Often. Wildlife enters the club near the swimming pool, adding excitement for the guests.
Most families want to stay an additional night at Chobe Safari Lodge, and the Lodge has been rated number one by teens and children alike. Parents also like it since kids find lots of things to do and see right at the Lodge.
Like all other meals here, lunch is outstanding, with many choices for adults and children alike. Your surroundings will add to making your meals a delightful experience here.
Late afternoon game drive in the northern area of the park. Some fewer tourists go on game drives in this area since most do so in the Paraa area of the park.

Day 7 – Return to Entebbe
Breakfast – and a splendid one it is here. Then the last morning Game Drive in Murchison Falls Park, Lunch at Chobe Safari Lodge, and return to Entebbe.
Arrive in Entebbe around five pm in the Afternoon.
Please note: Chimpanzees can be added on this day instead of a game drive in the nearby Budongo Forest if your children are over 12 years old.
