Your 3-Day Luxury Safari – Wildwaters Lodge Safari begins with a convenient pick-up from your hotel at 8:00 in the morning. Your driver will escort you to the MV Vanessa, where you’ll embark on a scenic cruise from Ggaba to Jinja.
Please note that the option to use the MV Vanessa for transportation to Jinja is available only on Fridays. If you visit during the week, we will arrange a comfortable drive to reach Wildwaters Lodge.
For group bookings, a special arrangement can be made to charter a boat for your journey to Jinja. When traveling by boat, you will be met by a knowledgeable driver’s guide who will accompany you to the lodge. Expect to arrive at Wildwaters Lodge around lunchtime, allowing you to settle in and enjoy your first meal at the club.
Upon arrival, you will be warmly greeted by the hospitable staff of Wildwaters Lodge. Their friendly and attentive service ensures you feel welcome and cared for throughout your safari experience. Day 2: Wildwaters Lodge Activities:
Awaken to the sounds of the ancient Nile and songbirds all around you – it is breakfast time and some superb Ugandan coffee to get you going for the day.
Today, you can relax and be a human instead of a human being. You can go half-day or full-day white water rafting to grade five and kayak or horseback riding along the Nile.
You can drive through the countryside and villages on an ATV Quad Vehicle or do something extreme, “Bungee Diving” into the Nile – along the lines of adrenaline-pumping experiences is the jet boat ride up the Nile across the rapids, which is a most exhilarating experience for most.
Sunset Nile River Cruise
Take a captivating Sunset Sundowner Cruise on the Nile in Jinja, where you’ll experience the breathtaking beauty of the

Day 3 – Drive to Mabira Forest:
Breakfast at Wildwaters Lodge is not merely a matter of eggs and toast but a full meal to enjoy as you experience one of the 7 Wonders of Africa – The River Nile around you.
We cross to the mainland and head for the Source of the Nile Park in Jinja. The park has many flowering trees and shrubs and seems to always be in bloom. Take the steps down to the River Nile itself, and we take a boat ride from the source into the 2nd largest lake in the World, Lake Victoria, and back; there are some great photo opportunities along the way.
We continue to Mabira Forest, where we check into the Rainbow Lodge, where you will have lunch.
The Rainforest Lodge welcomes you as you arrive for a memorable stay in a serene and natural setting. Rainforest Lodge is located within the Mabira FForest, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of Central Uganda’s only rainforest. The lodge offers twelve individual cabins designed for comfort and privacy. With ensuite facilities and a personal forest viewing deck, you can relax and immerse yourself in the tranquility of the surroundings. Wake up to the sounds of birds chirping and enjoy the peacefulness of the forest right from your cabin. The public lounge area, including its upper-level deck, provides spectacular forest views. You can wind here, savoring the sights and sounds while connecting with nature. It’s a perfect spot to relax, read a book, and appreciate the beauty of your surroundings.
After a Delightful Lunch:
You can do one or more activities here in Mabira Rainforest: Hit trails with a mountain bike, Nature walk, or birdwatching guided walk in the forest.
Those who want a more adventurous activity such as the forest-canopy ziplining activity. Ziplining is a short activity and can be combined with one of the other activities offered here.
You might even choose to relax and chill out at the Swimming pool, where you can take a refreshing dip, read a book, and later have a traditional sundowner.

Uganda Mangabey Monkey touring: The Uganda Mangabey Monkey is a rare and precious gem of the Mabira Rainforest. This scarce monkey species is predominantly found within the boundaries of the rainforest and a few select locations in Uganda, particularly in a small region neighboring Tanzania.
Within Mabira Forest, you’ll have the opportunity to encounter three habituated groups of Uganda Mangabeys. With the assistance of knowledgeable Forest Rangers, you can arrange and schedule tracking experiences to observe these remarkable creatures up close. The guides and rangers have played a crucial role in habituating the monkeys, making them comfortable in the presence of humans.
While exploring the Mabira Rainforest, you’ll also be treated to sightings of other captivating wildlife. Look out for the playful red-tailed monkeys swinging through the branches, various species of colorful birds decorating the canopy, graceful butterflies dancing in the air, vibrant flowering plants dotting the forest floor, and ancient trees that have stood tall for centuries, providing shelter and sustenance to the diverse ecosystem.

The falls hold great religious significance for many Ugandans, including the esteemed Speaker of the Ugandan Parliament. While most Ugandans identify themselves as Christians or Muslims, Ssezibwa Falls reflects the traditional beliefs that are still practiced by some. It is where traditional rituals and blessings, such as fertility blessings, are performed. Interestingly, even in the presence of the Anglican Church, which owns the site, people continue to bring offerings and pay respect to their ancestral beliefs.
