Planning your own personalized – private Safari in Uganda
What you need to know about Planning your Safari in Uganda
Planning your Safari in Uganda -The Pearl of Africa -The Best Experience for you is to be part of the Safari Planning Stage. This will raise your level of anticipation of what awaits you on your Safari in Uganda. The Planning or Designing Stage of your safari becomes more manageable with our assistance since we take the confusion and chaos out of Safari Planning. We live and work here, we know the country, we have done and do the activities we tell you about on our site. We know what works best, from creating a logical Safari Itinerary to the quality of lodges that we suggest for you during your time in the Pearl of Africa. Most importantly, we know how to implement the Itinerary that we have created with your input.
Some think that they can do all that on their own. Our experience in rescuing do-it-yourself safaris tells us otherwise. As we have said, we live and work here, have done all the Safari activities ourselves, have stayed at the lodges that we use. We try to leave nothing to chance, and most of the time, it works out just the way it was intended.
Preparing your Safari in Uganda – The things you want to see and to determine the kind of Safari you go on in Uganda or Rwanda. Planning your Safari with us is your first step toward a successful Safari. The number of days you have, the amount of money you can spend, the permits like Gorilla, Chimpanzee, Climbing, Hiking fees, the type of lodging. The number of participants, the kind of accommodation you prefer, all determine the final cost of your safari.
Uganda, know before You Go – learning about Uganda, what you can do here, the kind of lodges you can stay in.
African Travelers know that you can trek Gorillas in Uganda and that at a lower price than Rwanda. – those same African Travelers do not know what else there is to do and see in Africa’s most Bio-Diverse Country, Uganda.
Uganda is more than Mountain Gorillas, Chimpanzees, and other primates- there is much more to do and see in the Pearl of Africa than most tourists.
Uganda is Africa, as you imagined it, only better. In Uganda, you can still discover Africa as it used to be in remote Kidepo Valley Park. Visit Uganda and find out why it is the Pearl of Africa.
Getting to Uganda – the Airport you fly into depends on your Safari Activities:
Most Visitors to Uganda are not aware that you can fly into two different airports to get to Uganda. Entebbe International Airport and Kigali International Airport. If you come to trek Gorillas, fly in and out of Kigali Rwanda, and save a total of 12 hours drive time that it would take if you were coming and going from Entebbe.
Most of our Clients fly into Kigali and fly out of Entebbe if they are on a 5 day or longer Primate and Wildlife Safari.
Not every Tour operator will offer you Safaris that begin or end in Kigali, Rwanda. You will not see it on the Uganda Official Tourism Site. We have offered and promoted it for over 5 years, and most of our clients prefer it. The concept has only become more popular since Rwanda raised its Gorilla permit prices to 1,500 USD in May of 2017.

Planning your Safari in Uganda – There is the cost of a Safari.
A Safari with Gorilla Trekking or the Gorilla Habituation Experience does not come cheap. You are paying for an experience that is not replicable elsewhere. No Mountain Gorillas are found in zoos, only in a small part of Africa, Uganda, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The permit price is the reason that Mountain Gorillas are thriving, and their numbers have increased dramatically.
A Safari with Gorilla Trekking costs more, yet you cannot compare it to a safari costs in Uganda or Tanzania – there are no gorillas found there. You save 900 USD on Uganda’s permit costs over Rwanda (800 USD after July 1, 2020). Uganda is the only safe and secure other Mountain Gorilla Trekking location in Africa. Virunga National Park is closed to Tourism for the rest of the year.
