Your wellness is on their mind, and that includes the spa-services that are offered. When it comes to your wellness, there is a splendid swimming pool for you to enjoy.
The meals are culinary celebrations that blend with what you might know but with an African twist using organically grown fresh ingredients and spices that are made in Uganda. The coffee here comes from a women support group that you can visit, and their place is near to the Lodge.
Afternoon – Boat Safari on the Kazinga Channel:
The Boat Safari begins at the Mweya Landing site. We use the smaller boat that makes the trip more private. You can have a totally private Boat Safari upon request.
The boat safari takes you along the natural Kazinga Channel that connects Lake George and Lake Edward.
Along the two-hour journey, you will see an abundance of hippos, wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, hippos, crocodiles, and hundreds of birds.
This boat Safari is one of the highlights of your time on Safari in Queen Elizabeth Park.
At the end of the boat safari, we take you on the Katwe Explosion Crater Drive. This is definitely one of the most scenic drives in Uganda.
That time of the day, before sunset, the lighting conditions will be right for great photo-ops. Some of the craters were featured in National Geographic.
The Explosion Crater Drive is at the highest point in the park. From here, you see the beautiful craters and crater lakes. The breathtaking Western Rift Escarpment and the Savannah below. There is Lake Edward, Lake George, and the Kazinga Channel. Shadowing over it all are the Rwenzori Mountains of the Moon, the tallest Mountain Range in Africa.
Large Elephant herds, Buffaloes and antelopes are seen up here. TWA Airlines had a poster in the 1950s that had the mountains of the Moon, the savannah and the explosion crater ridge in a poster that advertised traveling to Uganda.
