Gorilla Safari Lodge – Upmarket $$$

Gorilla Safari Lodge is a comfortable upmarket lodge near the Rushaga Trailheads for Gorilla Trekking and the Gorilla Habituation Experience.

Many of our clients like this lodge, its cottages with Fireplaces and a hot water bottle at bedtime.

This is a Ugandan owned lodge that has done an excellent job serving the upmarket guests that come here.  There is a Family Cottage that sleeps 4.

The food is tastefully prepared by trained staff and vegetarians and vegans can easily be accommodated.

Chameleon Hill Lodge – Upmarket $$$

It is different, it is Africa’s funkiest Lodge, the dream of an eccentric made reality (eccentric in our opinion is someone who is uniquely themselves).  Chameleon has high ratings for the quality of the room, the Afro-Euro Fusion Meals, the excellent service and the incredible views of Lake Mutanda below it.

Each private Cottage has that same view, each cottage is painted a different color and easier to return to after Lunch or dinner.

The drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is one hour, yet many of our clients did not mind it since they really enjoyed their time at Chameleon Hill Lodge overlooking Lake Mutanda.  From the Lodge, you can also access Mgahinga Gorilla Park.
