- Zero Littering Policy (Pack it In, Pack it Out): Never litter in the African Wild. Use the garbage bag in your safari vehicle. This is strictly a “pack it in, pack it out” policy. Do not pick up seeds, rocks, or flowers; the natural environment must remain untouched.
- Wildlife Welfare Comes First: Your driver-guide will never go off-track. Going off-road risks harming wildlife and destroying the delicate savanna. Guides maintain a respectful distance from all wildlife.
- Primate Trekking Conduct (Gorillas & Chimpanzees): Always obey your UWA guide’s instructions. Maintain the required distance from the primates, keep noise to a minimum, and never leave any waste behind.
- Obey All Park Rules: This includes keeping noise to an absolute minimum, turning off your engine when stopped for viewing, and silencing your mobile phone. Remember, all nature walks are accompanied by Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) Guides.

- Conserve Resources: Please turn off lights when not in use, especially at lodges using solar energy. Water is precious; keep your showers short.
- Reduce Plastic: We strongly encourage the use of reusable water bottles. When purchasing beverages at lodges, ask for reusable glass soda bottles instead of plastic. Consider using rechargeable batteries for your cameras and devices to further reduce waste.
