Welcome to Kabiza Wilderness Safaris! We know that reading a legal document can be difficult, but we want to make our rules easy to understand. Our terms and conditions are here to ensure your safari is safe, smooth, and fun.
We are a trusted safari company in Uganda. While we have rules like all companies, our main goal is to work with you. We focus on your unique situation and your needs. When you book with us, our terms are designed to protect you. They explain what we are responsible for and what is out of our control, like bad weather or road issues. This is where your expert safari guide is so important. They are on the ground to handle any challenges and make sure your trip is wonderful.
We want you to feel relaxed and confident. Our team is here to answer any questions you have about our terms. We believe in being open and honest with you. Our promise is to put you, our valued client, first. With us, you can look forward to your adventure with peace of mind, knowing that we have your back every step of the way.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS – Kabiza Wilderness Safari
GENERAL:
GENERAL:Kabiza Wilderness Safaris organizes private safaris in Uganda and Rwanda. These safaris are managed by Kabiza Wilderness Safaris LTD, which is registered in the Republic of Uganda. We ask you to carefully read the Terms and Conditions, as well as the Travel Information for specific countries. Together, these documents outline our respective obligations and form the basis of your contract with us.
In these Terms and Conditions, “you” refers to all persons named on the booking, including anyone who may be added or substituted at a later date. “We” and “us” refer to Kabiza Wilderness Safaris. Please note that these terms may be amended from time to time due to changing circumstances; the terms that apply are those in effect at the time of booking.
Conditions in Africa may differ from those in developed countries, and the standards for services, medical facilities, safety, and security may often be lower than what you are accustomed to in your home country. It is important to understand that the laws and regulations of the country where services are provided apply to your holiday arrangements, rather than those of your home country.

Should any changes occur, rest assured we will communicate with you instantly. Booking a Safari: What Happens Next
When you embark on a safari adventure with us, you’re stepping into a thrilling journey both for yourself and for your entire group. The person who makes the booking holds a vital role as the “head of the group.” This individual assumes responsibility for everyone in the party, marking the beginning of a shared experience that extends beyond just one person. By finalizing the reservation, they confirm that all group members are aware of and agree to our terms and conditions.
The group leader must clearly communicate this vital information, ensuring that everyone feels informed and prepared for the thrilling adventure ahead. At our core, we prioritize transparency and open communication, and our dedicated team stands ready to assist with any questions you might have about the booking process or our guidelines.
We want to create a joyful and seamless safari journey for each member of your group, so remember, when you make that reservation, you’re not just reserving a spot for yourself; you’re orchestrating a fantastic experience for everyone involved. We can’t wait to collaborate with you all in crafting a memorable and exhilarating safari adventure!
aking Changes to Your Safari Plan
We will do our best to help you make any reasonable changes to your safari. To ask for a change, the group leader must send us a letter in writing. We will confirm the changes in writing by sending you a new plan.
- Adding or Removing People: If you want to change the number of people in your group, you can do this up to six weeks before your safari starts. We will adjust the safari cost per person.
- Transferring Your Booking: With our written permission, you can give your booking to another person. They must follow all the same rules for the trip.
When We Might Change Your Safari Plan
Sometimes, we might have to make a change to your plan. This happens if a hotel is full or is not available for another reason. If this happens, we will move you to a different hotel that has the same level of quality and is in the same area. We will always tell you about these changes. The price of the safari might change because different hotels have different prices.
Safari prices can also increase if our costs go up. This could be because of higher fuel prices, new taxes, or more expensive park fees. If the price of your safari increases, we will tell you about the change. If you do not want to accept the new price, we may have to cancel your tour.
Staying at Accommodations
We will help you choose the best accommodations for your trip based on your budget. The prices we give you are for two people sharing a room. If you are traveling alone, you will need to pay an extra fee for a single room. On safari, you will receive all your meals at your lodge, unless your plan says something different and you have agreed to it. We want to make sure you have comfortable places to rest and eat after a day of adventure.
What to Do If You Have a Complaint
If you have any complaints during your safari, please tell your driver-guide right away. Your happiness is very important to us, and our guide will do their best to solve the problem for you. If the problem is not solved, you should send us a report in writing as soon as you can, but no later than 20 days after your safari ends. We will always try to fix any problems as soon as they happen.
Important: Things We Cannot Control (Force Majeure)
We are sorry, but we cannot be responsible for things that are completely out of our control. This includes events like war, civil unrest, terrorist activity, riots, very bad weather, natural disasters, or the closure of borders or roads. We also cannot be responsible for any delays or damage that happen during travel by land, air, or sea.
Some activities on your safari, like hiking, mountain climbing, or white-water rafting, have a risk of personal injury. You need to know that your safety cannot be fully guaranteed during these activities. If you choose to do them, you are doing so at your own risk. We are not responsible for your safety during these high-risk activities.
Insurance and Health Requirements
Before you travel, you must get the right insurance for your safari. This insurance should cover things like death, personal injury, medical costs, and emergency travel back home. It should also cover you if you have to cancel your trip or if your luggage is lost or stolen. You should make sure your insurance also covers activities that have a higher risk, like mountain climbing or white-water rafting.
You must be in good physical and mental health to enjoy our safaris. We recommend that you prepare for your trip by doing exercises, especially for activities like gorilla trekking or climbing mountains. If you have any medical condition or need special food, you must tell us in writing before you travel. We are not responsible for any medical care if you do not tell us about your condition in advance. You should also visit a doctor to get all the necessary shots and advice for traveling in Africa.
Law and Our Responsibility
Our company is based in Uganda, and your contract with us follows the laws of Uganda. We promise to make every effort to ensure that your safari itinerary is followed exactly as we planned it with you. Our employees and partners will do their best to carry out our duties.
If any part of your safari is not offered as promised, we will pay you a fair amount of money if your trip was affected. However, we are not responsible if the problem was caused by a third person we did not hire, or by an event we could not have predicted or avoided. Our main goal is to make your safari a great experience, and we will always work with you to solve any problems that come up.
Our Promise to You: Responsibility and Liability
We promise to do our very best to make sure every part of your safari goes as planned and is of the highest quality. Our employees, guides, and partners will work with great care to make your trip a success. We are responsible for what they do or don’t do, as long as they were working for us at that time.
If a part of your safari is not provided as we promised, we will pay you a fair amount of money to make up for it. The most we will pay for a complaint is the cost of the service that was missed (for example, a missed game drive or boat safari). This does not include serious issues like death or personal injury, which we handle differently.
We will do everything we can to protect you from harm from animals or insects. But you also have a responsibility to be careful. You must follow the safety rules and get medical advice and any necessary vaccinations before your trip.
We will not be responsible for problems that are caused by:
- People who are not connected to your safari.
- Events that we could not have predicted or avoided, such as bad weather or natural disasters.
We will also not be responsible for any death, injury, or illness if it was caused by something that was not our fault.
Booking, Prices, and Price Increases
Before you confirm your booking, please make sure the price quote we gave you is clear and correct. The final price of your safari is set at the time of your booking. If we find a mistake in the price, we will fix it right away and let you know.
Sometimes, the price of a safari can go up after you have booked. This can happen because of changes in fuel costs, park fees, exchange rates, or other prices we cannot control. If this happens, we may need to add a small extra charge to your safari cost. If you do not want to pay this extra charge, we may have to cancel your tour. We will work with you to find a solution.
Transportation and Your Responsibilities
We do our best to make sure our safari vehicles are in good condition. However, we cannot be responsible for breakdowns or delays. Our guides are trained to handle problems that may happen and will do everything they can to take care of you. If you have any problem with your guide, please tell us right away.
Only our guide can drive the safari vehicle. You are not allowed to drive it. The guide’s decision on things like the best route to take is final.
You are responsible for making sure you have all the necessary travel documents, like your passport, and all health certificates you need for your trip.
Travel insurance is very important for your safari. We do not sell it, but we strongly recommend that you buy it.
If you have any special requests, you must tell us when you book. We will try our best to help, but we cannot promise that we can do all special requests. Our goal is to make your safari a wonderful experience, and we will always work with you to do so.
Our Commitment: Your Safety and Safari Experience
We are committed to ensuring that every aspect of your safari is executed as planned and meets the highest standards of quality. Our team, comprising guides and partners, will work diligently to ensure your trip is a success. We take full responsibility for their actions while they are working on your behalf.
If any part of your safari is not delivered as promised, we will compensate you fairly for it. The maximum compensation we will provide for a complaint is limited to the cost of the missed service, such as a missed game drive. Please note that this does not cover serious issues, such as injury or illness.
While we strive to protect you during your trip, it is also crucial that you take responsibility for your safety. You are required to adhere to all safety guidelines and seek medical advice before your trip.
We are not responsible for problems caused by:
- People not connected to your safari.
- Unavoidable events, such as bad weather or natural disasters.
- Any death, injury, or illness not caused by our fault.
Booking, Pricing, and Your Responsibilities
Before you confirm your booking, please ensure that the price we provided is clear and accurate. The final price is set at the time of your booking. Occasionally, prices may increase after booking due to factors beyond our control, such as changes in fuel costs or park fees. In such cases, we may need to apply a small surcharge. If you prefer not to pay this fee, we may have to cancel your tour. We are committed to working with you to find a suitable solution.
Regarding transportation, we strive to maintain our vehicles in good condition. However, we cannot be held responsible for any breakdowns that may occur. Our guides are trained to handle problems and will do their utmost to ensure your well-being. Only our guide is permitted to drive the safari vehicle, and their decision on the best route is final.
You are responsible for having all necessary travel documents, such as your passport and health certificates. Travel insurance is highly recommended for your safari. Although we do not sell insurance, we strongly recommend that you obtain it. If you have any special requests, please inform us at the time of booking. We will do our best to accommodate you, as our goal is to make your safari a memorable experience.

When you are ready to book your safari, you will make a deposit. This is a very important step. The person who makes the booking, called the “group leader,” is responsible for everyone in the group. By making the booking, you agree that everyone in your group understands and accepts our rules.
