New 2020-20222 Uganda Wildlife Authority Tariffs–Activity Fees
Uganda Wildlife Authority Park-Permit Tariff Effective July 1, 2024, through June 2026
Starting July 1, 2024, and continuing through June 2026, the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) will implement revised tariffs known as Conservation Fees. These fees are essential for protecting wildlife, primates, and national parks, ensuring their preservation for future generations.
While most of the fees will remain the same, there will be a slight increase in the costs for Gorilla Trekking and some Chimpanzee Trekking permits. This adjustment aims to maintain Uganda as an affordable option for most visitors to the beautiful Pearl of Africa.
Uganda’s affordability helps it compete with other popular East African safari destinations, such as Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania. The funds generated from these fees are vital for maintaining a safe and secure environment, protecting Uganda’s natural treasures, and ensuring a healthy habitat for wildlife.
The UWA Conservation Tariffs and Fees do not only focus on wildlife; they also support the communities living near the parks. By investing in conservation, Uganda is preserving its natural heritage and promoting sustainable development for local communities for years to come.
