The Hot Air Balloon Safari Operator in Queen Elizabeth Park closed their Operation until further Notice

 The Hot Air Balloon Operation is Closed as of November 2017 – all of our Clients that have booked the Hot Air-Balloon Safari in Queen Elizabeth Park – Full Refund will be made – Instead of the Hot Air Balloon Safari we suggest the Lion Tracking Research with the Uganda Carnivore.  The difference of price will be refunded to you if you choose this option. 

The Hot Air Balloon Safari Operation was a conducted by a Private Operator and not part of any Safari Company Operation.  We apologize on their behalf for any inconvenience.  We wish it had continued. 

Presently you can do a Hot Air Balloon Safari Murchison Falls Park, and that activity is operational.

Take a one of a kind Hot Air Balloon Safari Tour over Queen Elizabeth National Park at sunrise seeing  the wildlife and scenery below such as the explosion craters, the Rwenzori Mountains of the Moon in the distance, Kazinga Channel with its wildlife, Lake Edward and Lake George.  It is 1 1/2 hours in the air over Queen Elizabeth Park seeing the park like you would never on a game drive. The Hot Air Balloon Ride is followed by a Champagne Bush Breakfast prepared by the staff from Mweya Safari Lodge.

A Sunrise Balloon Safari over a Tapestry of Natural Wonders and one of Uganda’s favorite parks – Queen  Elizabeth Park.  You will be able to see the stunning beauty of the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains of the Moon, Explosion Crater Lakes, the Western Rift, Lake Edward and Lake George connected by the Kazinga Channel, Kyambura Gorge – the Democratic Republic to the West and the abundant wildlife seen below you.

Soar up to heights of 3000 feet and see things that others would never see on foot or with a vehicle – a sunrise hot-air balloon Safari in Queen Elizabeth Park,

A hot-air balloon safari means an early rise  and getting to the meeting point at 5:30 am where you will be greeted by the crew with coffee, tea and other refreshments as you see the balloon assembled and meet your certified pilot (at least 1000 hours – flying time).  You will receive a safety orientation before lift-off for your hot air balloon safari.

Sunrises in Queen Elizabeth Park are at just after 6 am and you will see it in all of its glory as you rise above the Queen Elizabeth Park Savannah with Elephant Herds below y ou, Lions returning from their nocturnal hunt, Hippos coming back to the lake or Kazinga Channel after grazing all night.  Each Hot Air Balloon is a journey of Discovery that you will delight in.

Presently the Hot Air Balloon can accommodate up to 16 passengers with an extra one to be added for up to 24 passengers – the cost per passenger is 380 usd and your flying safari is about 1 hour plus in length.  At the end of the Hot Air Balloon Safari, you will be met by the ground crew and celebrate your time over Queen Elizabeth Park with Breakfast and a flying certificate.

The Champagne Bush Breakfast is prepared by the upmarket Mweya Safari Lodge.
