The person with more time breaks up the long drive by adding days and parks to the safari.  Lake Mburo Park is a perfect halfway point to Bwindi Forest.  A 5 to the 7-day safari will cut your time on the road and increase your time seeing primates and wildlife.

The Fly-In Gorilla Trekking Option can go beyond Gorilla Trekking but be made into a Fly – Drive Safari that includes wildlife and Chimpanzee Trekking.

The reason that not more people use this option is due to the cost of in-country flights in Uganda.  Hopefully, something that will change in the future.
