Fly-In Tree-Climbing Lions – Wildlife Safari on the Ishasha Plains – Queen Elizabeth Park


The Ishasha Plains – away from the crowds allows you to experience the African Wilderness at its best on this Fly-In Tree-Climbing Lions – Wildlife Safari staying at the luxurious Ishasha Wilderness Camp which is an experience in itself.  It will be one of those memorable moments in your time in Africa.


 Day 1 Ishasha -Queen Elizabeth Park:

Depart Your Hotel for your Fly-In Tree-Climbing Lions – Wildlife Safari on the Ishasha Plains with our Driver-Guide and head toward Entebbe Airport where you boar an Aerolink flight that takes you to Kihihi which is near Ishasha Wilderness Tented Camp. It is 1 1/2 hours flying time and you are met by your driver guide and taken to Ishasha Wilderness Tented Camp along the Ntungwe River where much wildlife is to be seen even from the Camp while eating a meal or simply relaxing in front of your tent.

The Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park is the unvisited part of Queen Elizabeth Park and Ishasha Wilderness Tented Camp is in remote spot along the Ntungwe River where one can sit and watch wildlife such as Elephants and Hippos, birds and the only interruptions are the sounds African wild breaking the silence.

After Lunch we head out on our first game drive in search the tree-climbing lions of Ishasha along with large herds of elephants, Topi and Uganda Kob antelopes, buffaloes, leopards, warthogs, and much more.

Ishasha is the best place in East Africa for tree-climbing lions and people come from far and wide to see them.

Day 2 Tree Climbing Lions:

Morning Breakfast at your lodge and off for a morning game drive coming across herds of buffaloes, elephants and countless of different antelopes, birds of all kinds around you, and most likely you are the only vehicle.

Lunch and rest

Late afternoon game drive down to the Lake Edward floodplains and you just might find a shoebill stork you look carefully and hopefully you will see an occasional leopard, usually with its prey up in the tree and spot more tree climbing lions.

Dinner

Meal Plan: Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner


Day 3 Ishasha – Return to Kampala:

Breakfast and morning nature Walk with Uganda Wildlife Authority Rangers who will take you and show you the wildlife and birds found along the Ishasha River where you will mostly like see quite a few hippos below.

Lunch at Ishasha Wilderness Tented Camp

Depart for the Airstrip at Kihihi for departure back to Entebbe Airport with Aerolink.  On arrival you will be met by our Driver Guide either to help you with airport transport or he will take you to a hotel in Entebbe or Kampala

Add-Ons: Bush-Breakfast and  Sun-downer  in the wilds of Ishasha can be added on for an extra cost.

Safari includes all flights, transport, activities, lodging full board – except soft drinks, alcohol, laundry, tips.
