Crayfish is not native to Africa, neither to Uganda and Lake Bunyonyi.  It was brought here from Louisiana in the 1950’s and has thrived.  Locals have not acquired a taste for them unless a tourist introduced them to crayfish.

Sumptuous plates of tilapia, steaks, continental dishes are brought to you at mealtimes and then there is of course Ugandan fruit in abundance including for breakfast.
