Reality – there is not such thing as a Kabiza Wilderness Safaris Best African Country to Visit Award – however we are so passionate about Uganda – the Pearl of Africa that we focus – concentrate on Uganda – we do not dabble in offering safari tours all over East-Africa but stick with Uganda feeling strongly that Uganda has much to offer to visitors from around the world and most of those visitors hardily agree with our choice.
We fee strongly that Uganda is the Best Country in Africa to visit and each week we post another few reasons as to why people should come and visit the Pearl of Africa – Uganda – in some ways we may feel stronger about this country of scenic wonders, wildlife and primates than the government that takes credit for Tourism accolades but does not sow informational and promotional seeds as other countries in Africa do.
Uganda is home of the tallest Mountain Range – the Rwenzori Mountains of the Moon, home to large parts of the largest lake in Africa – Lake Victoria – home to the Source of the longest River in Africa – the historic River Nile – home to over half of the Mountain Gorillas in the world (480 out of 880) – home to the most Chimpanzees in East Africa – the largest number of remaining Rothschild Giraffes (the tallest giraffes in the world) – the best place in East Africa to see tree climbing lions (Ishasha), – the best place to see the endangered Golden Monkeys – the best place for White Water rafting in East Africa – home of the most remote Wildlife Park in East Africa – Kidepo Valley National Park – Uganda may be landlocked country but it is also home to some of the best hidden Islands in Africa – the Ssese Islands with its sandy beaches – our mini-version of Zanzibar.
Uganda was named “Best Country to Visit by Lonely Planet in 2012 – one of the World’s Best Destination by National Geographic in 2013 and for 2015 we make you aware that Uganda remains one of best countries to visit in Africa and in our opinion – Uganda has our vote for Best Country to Visit in Africa…enjoy…
“The Kingdom of Uganda is a fairy tale. The scenery is different, the climate is different and most of all, the people are different from anything elsewhere to be seen in the whole range of Africa….what message I bring back….concentrate upon Uganda – ‘The Pearl of Africa’.” Winston Churchill (My African Journey – 1908)
