Bush Safari Lodge – a hidden Pearl in Queen Elizabeth Park
Bush Safari Lodge – A tented Camp – affordable – price – good location at Queen Elizabeth Park in Uganda
Queen Elizabeth Park in Uganda has many choices for visitors –there are countless of up-market accommodations to choose from – but being the nostalgic person I am – I love Tented Camps – and at Queen Elizabeth Park there are only two tented camps where I would personally stay – and Bush Tented Camp Lodge is one of them. The price is reasonable – but staying in a lodge is more than price – it is atmosphere-ambience-experience – and certainly Bush Tented Camp Lodge gives you all of them at a most reasonable price – 150 USD per night full board for two.
I do not own Bush Tented Camp Lodge – do not manage it – have not been asked to write about this– but one thing I know – countless of our clients have simply loved it there – we use this intimate small tented camp as part of a four day tented camp safari in Queen Elizabeth and place most of our clients here who are passing through or to Queen Elizabeth Park and no one has ever complaint in fact it has been raves regarding Bush Lodge.
Just recently I asked an Australian couple about their time at Bush Tented Camp Lodge who had stayed at mostly up-market lodging accommodations during their 14 day stay – their reply “we loved their food.” I found that amazing since they had stayed at lodging facilities – three and four times higher in price and they loved the food at Bush Lodge in Queen Elizabeth Park.
The tents are raised on platforms – furnished – a deck awaits you to sit and watch the wildlife passing through the camp area – a creek runs in season – Kazinga Channel near you – quiet – private – a small intimate camp in the African Wild – and personally one of my favorite places to place clients of Kabiza Wilderness Safaris – why not? Again no complaints.
In back of the tent is the shower – probably the only double-headed shower in Uganda – but available just for you. The food that awaits you in the dining tent is prepared in the loveliest of manners – kind and courteous staff – wait upon you – what can one say? There are several tented camps in Queen Elizabeth Park – a couple are up-market wannabees without the evidence of up-market quality in their service and delivery of accommodations – Bush Lodge delivers all around quality and most of all real value for the price.
Where would I stay in Mweya area of Queen Elizabeth Park – Bush Tented Camp Lodge – for the experience of a tent in the wilderness – great ambiance – friendly and attentive service and great food – forgot easy access to the game drives in the area….try Bush Lodge – you can book a safari that includes Bush Lodge or anyone else – Bush Lodge is on our recommended lodging list for Queen Elizabeth Park – Bush Lodge – my place to stay in Queen Elizabeth Park…from Kampala…jon
“The Kingdom of Uganda is a fairy tale. The scenery is different, the climate is different and most of all, the people are different from anything elsewhere to be seen in the whole range of Africa….what message I bring back….concentrate upon Uganda – ‘The Pearl of Africa’.” Winston Churchill (My African Journey – 1908)
