Uganda continues to be Safe and Secure for Tourists and Visitors in 2014
Tourists visiting Uganda will find it safe and secure in 2014
Just this week I met with two South African Clients at the end of their Safari – one of them was a repeat client. One of the comments that they made was that as Women Travelers they felt very safe here to move around on their own as they were spending their last few days in Uganda in Entebbe.
Uganda in 2014 remains one of the safest countries in Africa for visitors and tourists from around the world and because of the ongoing safety and security in the country the number of tourists have increased over the last few years.
Each day – people visit our website as a result of a search on Google, Yahoo or Bing and their concern is “is it safe to travel to and in Uganda.” Beginning with your arrival where you find a hassle-free reception by Immigration and Custom Officials unlike many other ports of arrival in Africa.
The Safest place to be in Uganda is on a safari with a tour company such as Kabiza Wilderness Safaris-you will find safety and security everywhere while you traverse the Pearl of Africa – wherever you turn you will find a police presence in the form of Traffic Police, Tourist Police and others – all doing their part to make sure of your well-being and safety in Uganda.
The Image of Uganda has often been wrongly portrayed through the media, outdated websites, or blogs – often written by people who have never set foot into Uganda.
Uganda is one of the friendliest and welcoming countries in all of Africa – in 2014 there is no conflict, war or national disturbance within the borders of Uganda. It may be the birthplace of Idi Amin and Joseph Kony but neither one is inside of Uganda. Idi Amin died some years back in Saudi Arabia and Joseph Kony and his remnant Lord’s Resistance Army is in the Central African Republic reportedly negotiating a surrender.
Uganda is safe and secure and over 99% of visitors have only positive experiences especially those who come on a Safari Holiday to the Pearl of Africa.
The M23 rebels in the Democratic Republic of Congo have laid down their arms and refugees that fled to Uganda are returning to their homes in the Congo – at no time did the conflict spill over into Uganda besides refugees who found a safe haven in Uganda.
Uganda in 2014 is safe for visitors and tourists – where are no Travel Advisories except the erroneous one that has been up for years by the Australian and New Zealand government – those advisories are based on extremely outdated information and are not based on current information inside of Uganda, neither government has an embassy here and the citizens of Australia and New Zealand continue to ignore their own country’s advice.
Let’s be realistic – “When does a week pass by in the USA when there is not a shooting of one kind or another?” That you will not have in Uganda.
If you have any safety and security questions – feel free to contact us. We give daily updates on our Facebook page and if there is any security threat – it will be posted on our Facebook page first.
Enjoy – safe and secure Uganda – the Pearl of Africa – I have as an American since 1992…from peaceful Kampala…jon
