More International Airlines are flying to Uganda
Uganda is becoming easier and easier to fly into from all directions. There are 21 scheduled passenger airlines flying into Entebbe, making Uganda accessible from all over the world an
d fares competitive. It seems each month there is a new International Carrier making the announcement that they are now flying to Uganda, all a far cry from the distant past. More and more visitors are arriving in Uganda and it is estimated that 1. 5 million passengers will be flying into Entebbe in 2011 and with Lonely Planet choosing Uganda as top country to visit in 2012 those numbers will shoot up dramatically in that year. Entebbe airport having been renovated in 2007 will soon have to be enlarged and upgraded once again. By International Standards, a small airport, however a beautiful location making it one of the more attractive landing sites in Africa (along Lake Victoria).
No matter where you are coming from there is a airline for you, the only thing missing are the direct flights from North America, that would certainly be an ultimate for Uganda for inbound travelers and for the Ugandan export market such as flowers, some of its fruit and more. Some of the major airlines now flying into Uganda are British Airways, KLM, Brussels Airlines, South African Airways, Kenya Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, Emirate Airlines, Egypt Air, Turkish Air, and QATAR Airways being the latest entry in flying to Uganda and using Entebbe International Airport.
