The Safest Place to be is on a Safari in Uganda or Rwanda

The Best informed Person regarding Safety and Security in Uganda and or Rwanda is the Safari Tour Operator

Africa-Safari-Quote-Safety.jpgKenya has been the Victim of various Travel Advisories and Security Alerts in recent years which have hurt the country’s Tourism Industry and reduced the number of Tourists entering Kenya.

Uganda has had its share of Travel Advisories and Security Alerts issued by various governments including Travel Advisories that were simply outright wrong and outdated such as those issued by the governments of Australia and New Zealand.

Who is the best source when it comes to Safety and Security in an African country such as Uganda or Rwanda?

Many Travelers seem to think that it is the government of the country that they reside in is the best source for safety and security information regarding a country such as Uganda and or Rwanda.  Others tend to go on Travel Forums where you can get information and advice from other travelers.

Governments such the UK or US, Australia, New Zealand tend to often overreact to even minor situations in a country and paint a whole country based on one incident.  Travel Forums are often the worst place for accurate information regarding safety and security of a country.

Who then will give you an accurate picture of what the safety and security of a country like Uganda or Rwanda is like?  The answer most often would be the Safari Tour Operator such as Kabiza Wilderness Safari who reside within the country and who are most concerned about the safety and well-being of their clients.  The ground handler in the country that you are wanting to visit will be one of the best source for accurate information when it comes to safety and security.

Take Kenya – most of Kenya is safe and secure – in fact the wildlife game parks of Kenya are some of the safest places in the country and yet through travel advisories Kenya’s Tourism industry has been reduced to a mere shadow of what it once was.

Amazingly I have never seen travel advisories regarding the USA issued by the US Government warning people not to visit the US after another one of its unfortunate shooting incidents.  If such an incident had taken place in Uganda, the US State Department would issue one security alert after another.
