Why Choose Kabiza Wilderness Safaris for your Safari in Uganda?
The thing that makes us different from other tour operators is our size. We are small and proud of it (being large does not mean better service-call us a boutique Safari Company) and we have no intention of becoming big. It means that you are not just a client but a person who has our undivided attention to design a safari that allows you to experience Africa – Uganda as you imagined, but only better.
Being a small tour company allows us to custom design every single itinerary detail just for you. Clients from around the world come to us expressing their wishes and desires for a safari in Uganda and we design their itinerary, not the other way around as larger tour operators do for most of their clients – simply following the brochure. We do not have brochures we make your wishes into your own personally designed brochure – itinerary.
Being a small tour operator means that we do not have to worry about obtaining volume discounts from lodging facilities (which most often are not passed on) and push you into them. You are able to choose each and every of the lodging facilities for your personalized safari.
We listen to you and then design the itinerary that reflect your wishes, fits your budget, time frame, and travel tastes by implementing what you want to do and see in Uganda. Since we only do private safaris this can be anything you wish to do or want to see in Uganda, including activities such as village visits, walking or horseback riding safaris, mountain or volcano climbing, things off the beaten path, shopping in Kampala for that special African gift, celebrating with a unique dinner, all incorporated into the itinerary that is specifically designed just for you.
We do not look at short-term gains, but long term relationships with our clients giving you personalized quality safaris low in price without any compromise -simply with you in mind, no matter if you choose a 2 day mini- safari, go on a budget, moderate or up-market – luxury safari.
We are passionate about Uganda and all that it has to offer – we take the words of Winston Churchill to heart “Concentrate on Uganda.” We do not offer you tours all over the African continent but focus on giving you the best experience in the Pearl of Africa – Uganda. We expose you to the Magic of Africa in its Pearl – Uganda – always keeping your wishes in mind.
We find that a safari in Uganda is life-changing-creates lasting memories and we realize that when we create an itinerary for you that is not just about the outer journey (safari) but the inner journey that remains long after the pictures have faded away. Karen Blixen who wrote the memorable “Out of Africa” book had those memories within her as she wrote in her latter years in Denmark “If there were one more thing I could do, it would be to go on safari once again” Karen Blixen
Creating memorable Safaris in Uganda with you in mind….If you are coming to Africa for a meaningful vacation beyond same-same brochures- we do not even have brochures- since we design the private safari you desire-we listen to you and create your dream safari for you…contact us…from Kampala…jon

Uganda Forum: Use this safari company – highly recommended!
I have recently come back from Uganda having organised my safari with Kabiza Wilderness Safaris and I cannot recommend them highly enough. They were recommended to me by a friend in the first place and having travelled with them I wanted to pass on the recommendation.
Jon was brilliant at organising my itinerary for me and threw in suggestions of his own – which I’m very glad I took him up on! They were very competitive on price and everything was organised as was promised and there were no hidden extras or charges of any kind whatsoever. There was a small misunderstanding involving me having paid US$40 too much after I tweaked my itinerary a little at the last minute, which was my own fault as I hadn’t picked it up until the last day of my safari. Once I emailed Jon and pointed it out though he transferred the money back to my account after I had returned home – you can’t ask for more than that!
What made the trip, however, was my driver Remmy. If you do use Kabiza request to have Remmy! As a single woman travelling on my own I was a little apprehensive about what the driver would be like as so much of the trip was just the two of us in the van, but Remmy was absolutely brilliant. It’s not too many tour guides that share their bananas and passionfruit with you (he taught me how to eat passion fruits the proper African way), or hunt down banana gin in the back streets of a village for you because you want to try it.
Remmy was really knowledgeable about everything too and his English was superb. He has a great sense of humour as well, and it felt like I was on a road trip with my brother – an amazing journey.
Kabiza also do safaris in a few other African countries as well, and I will definitely be using them for any other trips to Africa I do.
“If I have ever seen magic, it has been in Africa.” John Hemingway – African Journeys
