Nine-Day Luxury Fishing and Wildlife Safari while staying in some of Uganda’s great Fishing Lodges

If Fishing is something you are passionate about – this luxury Safari is just for you as you embark on a nine-day Fishing Safari that takes in both Africa’s largest Lake – Lake Victoria and the historic River Nile in Murchison Falls National Park and the Nile River Further north. 

Pineaple-Bay-Resort-on-Bulago-IslandDay 1 – Pineapple Bay Resort: We meet and greet you at Entebbe Airport as you arrive in the morning or from your hotel in either Kampala or Entebbe and proceed to the landing site where we take a 45 minute boat ride to the fabulous Pineapple Bay Resort on Bulago Island – one of the perfect tropical islands in Uganda with its sandy beaches, Palm Trees – Tropical Vegetation, Forest and Savannah Grasslands.

You are welcomed in a most gracious manner at the fabulous resort on a private island on the second largest lake in the world – Lake Victoria. Get settled into your cottage and take in what is before you – some would call it paradise in the tropics in landlocked Uganda, simply amazing.

Enjoy a carefully prepared lunch in the perfect setting. Take a dip in the pool, soak in some sun, take  a nature walk around the island and enjoy the birds, butterflies, monkeys and small mammals as you pass through forests, open savannah, or just stroll along the beach a bit.

Time to catch some fish? Spend some time fishing from the shore during the late afternoon and catch some Tilapia or Nile Perch for dinner.  Enjoy the sunset with a cool drink and dinner afterwards on this amazing, private, tropical Island on Lake Victoria.

Day 2 – Pineapple Bay Resort:

fishing-on-lake-victoriaBreakfast and fishing with experienced guide using a motorized boat for the morning and hopefully you will catch a big one – which is often done around Bulago Island.

Enjoy not only the fishing but the fabulous scenery that is all around you, the islands, the water birds, the lake, other fishermen who unlike you are fishing for their livelihood – be sure to have a camera with you that you have some pictures of your time on Lake Victoria. Lunch at Pineapple Bay Resort and another culinary treat. (Packed Lunch can be arranged if you want to fish all day on Lake Victoria along with cold drinks)

Afternoon – more fishing, trolling for the big Nile Perch on Africa’s largest lake – most who come to fish here are not disappointed but delighted in the size of their catch.

Sunset fishing can also be done here from the shores of Lake Victoria around Pineapple Bay Resort.

Day 3 – Chobe Safari Lodge – Murchison Falls Park:

We check into one of the Deluxe Permanent Tents, rooms, or larger cottages along  the River where (except Florence Baker Cottage) you have a spending view of the Nile along with the most fabulous sunrises and sunsets.

Relax – take a swim in the pool – take some time to yourself and enjoy the African Wild in luxurious Comfort and Style.

Late Afternoon Game Drive across the savannah where you will see many Rothschild Giraffes, Buffaloes, Antelopes including the Uganda Kob, Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Savannah Birds and much more – it does not get any better – excellent fishing combined with an African Safari in the Pearl of Africa – Uganda.

Early morning breakfast and sunrise fishing along the River Nile with guides – enjoy the historic River Nile, not just any stream or River but Africa’s longest River flowing south to north – this ancient River is just teeming with fish of all kinds and is known for its fighting Nile Perch. Chobe Safari Lodge in days of old was known as a prime fishing spot in all of East Africa, since the lodge has been rebuilt.

Chobe Safari Lodge is regaining its reputation of old that it is one of the fishing hotspots in Uganda. For those that love fishing –This is a spot not to be missed along the River Nile.

Lunch at Chobe Safari Lodge – which will a real enjoyable treat. Relax a bit and return to fishing at your leisure – you can fish as late as sunset – darkness setting in past 7 pm in Uganda.  Hopefully you had some choice catches during the day. Dinner at Chobe Safari Lodge.

 Fishing-on-the-Nile-at-Murchison-FallsDay 5 – Paraa Lodge:

Breakfast and we continue our safari and journey and move to Paraa Lodge overlooking the Nile – there is much wildlife to be seen along the journey which is about 2 1/2 hours in length – much like a game drive – the Safari Vehicle comes equipped with a pop-up roof allowing you to stand up and look out, take some great photos over the top of the vehicle.

Check into Paraa Lodge and enjoy another delightful lunch on the covered terrace of Paraa Lodge.

Take a swim in the pool – relax on your balcony and enjoy the view of the Nile and the vast wilderness before you.

Late Afternoon Game Drive with Uganda Wildlife Authority Ranger on board – between our well-trained and experienced driver, the UWA ranger there is not much that you are going to miss on a game drive at Murchison Falls Park.  Lions, Leopards, Elephant Herds, Herds of Giraffes, various kinds of Antelopes, Birds and much more, a most enjoyable and adventurous time.

Early breakfast and off for more exciting fishing on the River Nile.  On this venture we boat up the Nile from Paraa to the Falls – to various pools that are found there.  Your fishing guide is experienced and knowledgeable of the river and knows where to take you to where the fish are biting today.

Nile Perch, Tiger Fish and other species can be found here and you are in for an amazing day of fishing adventure. On the journey up the river you will see our share of wildlife, crocodiles, hippos and water birds.  The boat can slow down for best picture-taking.

Take a lunch break at the lodge and we return to fishing for the afternoon going up the Nile – on the journey back down have the boat go down slowly and on the right bank you will see a multitude of wildlife – be sure to have your camera ready to take some great pictures.

 Day 7 – Arra Fishing Lodge – Adjumani along the Albert Nile:  Arra-Fishing-Lodge

Breakfast and we head north to Adjumani (4 hour Drive-Time) for more fishing along the Albert Nile staying at the peaceful Arra Fishing Lodge close to the River Nile – water birds abound and fishing is great at this remote Fishing Lodge.

Arra Fishing Lodge is a comfortable Tented , good food and service and they know how to cater to Anglers from far and wide. There is also a swimming pool for you to enjoy.

Get situated in your tent and prepare your fishing gear for some late afternoon time on the River.  Be sure to have your camera at hand since there are some great water-birds found in the area.

Early Breakfast and we head our by boat with expert guide for a morning of fishing.  Across the River you can see the Democratic Republic of Congo.  This is a great place to be and water birds abound all around and so the various kinds of fish in the Water.

You will find the quiet setting quite refreshing, the only sound being your chatter with other anglers and – the casting and hopefully the reeling of the Big Nile Perch.

Afternoon more fishing for the rest of the day – this place is heaven for anglers and you will immensely enjoy the day here and near Arra Fishing Lodge.

Day 9 Return to Entebbe:

Return to Entebbe with Lunch along the way wich includes one beer or two sodas.

This is a 9 hour drive and we reach Entebbe in the late afternoon – we can arrange a room for you if your flight leaves the next day.

This is a private safari, itinerary can be adjusted by you, it includes all listed activities except when it says optional, lodging and food, included, 4 x 4 Safari Toyota Land-Cruiser or Safari van modified for Safaris.
