Day 1 – Arrival: 2-friends-hotel-entebbe-lake-victoria

Arrive at Entebbe and you are met by your driver-guide who will welcome you to Uganda and take you to 2 Friends Beach Hotel in Entebbe where you have a room with view of Lake Victoria – there is a swimming pool for you to enjoy – the service is great  and so is the food.

This is a most enjoyable and quiet hotel – ideal for your first night in Uganda.  In your room will be our honeymoon surprise gift for you.

Your stay on your first night is on a half-board basis allowing you an enjoyable dinner and there is vast wine list to choose from.

Breakfast and depart for Kibale Forest and the exclusive Kyaninga Lodge which from Entebbe is a 5 hour pleasant drive through the Ugandan countryside.

Kyaninga Lodge is a fantastic lodge, it is more than that, it is an experience and a perfect lodge for your African Honeymoon in the Pearl of Africa – Uganda.  Kyaninga Lodge is made up of luxury wooden, log cabin like cottages.  There is a swimming pool for you to enjoy and one cannot leave out the fantastic views that you have all around including the Rwenzori Mountains of the Moon, a crater lake that is just before you, the vast Ugandan countryside all around – simply breathtaking.

Your cottage comes with full-bath, a great deck in which to take in the breathtaking views in front  of you, spacious room, firm bed for your  comfort with mosquito net.

Kyaninga Lodge is the only lodge in Uganda with a grass tennis court and also a croquet field – the garden is a delight and most of the vegetables used in the menu  here is grown right in the lodge garden.

Day 3 – Kibale Forest – Chimpanzee Habituation:Uganda-Chimpanzee-Habituation.jpg

A very early morning breakfast and we drive to Kibale Forest for the all-day chimpanzee habituation experience.  This begins early in the morning and lasts all day long until late in the afternoon.

Dress for the day is long trousers, long-sleeved shirt. hat, poncho or light rain-jacket, daypack with three liters of water and a packed lunch from the lodge.

It is a 45 minute drive to Kibale Forest from Kyaninga Lodge where the Chimpanzee Habituation Experience takes place.  Chimpanzee Habituation is the process of getting the chimpanzees used to being around humans.  You will be with researchers, trackers and your own guide during the time that you are here.

Return to Kyaninga Lodge and enjoy a great sunset from your deck.

Mweya-Lodge-Kazinga-Channel-WEPDay 4 – Queen Elizabeth Park:

Breakfast and we take the 2 1/2 hour drive to Queen Elizabeth Park where we check into Mweya Lodge and one of their Luxury Tents overlooking the famed Kazinga Channel with its wildlife, birds.  Often hippos and elephants come near to the tents and the lodge.

The tents come with bath, great deck for you to take in the wildlife and nature all around you – simply a fantastic and romantic setting.

The service and food at Mweya Safari Lodge is simply excellent.  There is a large swimming pool for you to enjoy, there is also a health center and wi-fi is available in the lodge for your convenience.

Lunch at Mweya Safari Lodge

Late afternoon wildlife game drive where you can see lions, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, birds, warthogs, bush pigs, and much more on the three hour game drive where the vehicle has a pop-up roof so that you can stand up and take great pictures.

Day – 5 Queen Elizabeth Park:hot-air-ballooning-safarri-queen-elizabeth-park

Early morning start as we are off for the fantastic Hot-Air Balloon Safari which starts at dawn when conditions are best for a hot-air balloon safari.

Enjoy the scenery of the park including the explosion craters, the Rwenzori Mountains, the wildlife below – a most amazing time of about 1 1/2 hours of looking at the Park from above.

After the hot-air balloon you will enjoy another great even – a bush breakfast with al the trimmings – simply delightful.

After the bush breakfast we continue on a game drive where you can see lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and more wildlife.

Lunch at Mweya Safari Lodge

During the afternoon there is the Kazinga Channel Boat Safari where you can see lots of hippos, buffaloes, antelopes, late in the afternoon you might see predators, here you have one of the highest concentrations of hippos in Africa.

You will also see crocodiles, monitor lizards, hundreds of birds and much more on your 2 hour plus boat safari.

Ishasha-Wilderness-Tented-Camp-QEPDay 6 – Ishasha Tree Climbing Lions:

Breakfast and we more two hours south to the Ishasha sector of the park – home of the tree-climbing lions.  Here we check into the exclusive Ishasha Wilderness Tented Camp along the Ntungwe River.

Service and Food is great here and you will enjoy your time here.

This is a great lodge for you to enjoy on your honeymoon – the tents are lodge and come with bath and views of the river and the wildlife that enters the camp.

Lunch along the Ntungwe River where you can often see elephants that come to water and bathe.

Enjoy your time here – a perfect honeymoon location.

Afternoon game drive in search of the Tree Climbing Lions – also leopards, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and more that you can find and see here in the Ishasha area of the park.

Sundowner and snack time on the savannah – enjoy a drink on the savannah in the Ishasha region.

Day 7 – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – Buhoma Lodge:buhoma-lodge-bwindi

Breakfast and then another game drive in search of the tree- climbing lions – at the same time there is much other wildlife to be enjoyed such as elephants, buffaloes, leopards, antelopes, warthogs and more.

After the game drive we take the 1 1/2 hour journey to the Buhoma area of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest where we check into the Buhoma Lodge which is an upmarket lodge of consistent quality and high standards.  The service is excellent here and the food is of restaurant quality or better.

Enjoy your cottage with a view of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.  The lodge is located within Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and a short walk from the park headquarters where you begin your gorilla trek.


buhoma-village-walk.jpgAfternoon Village Walk in the Buhoma area of the park.  Spend time with a traditional healer and learn about the plants, roots, berries that are used and actually work quite well in the healing of many illnesses. See how local beer is  and taste it.  Also what is called Waragi which is a strong drink and is similar to Gin.

Visit homes and observe cooking over open fires, how food is gathered from the gardens, how souvenir crafts are created by hand and even learn how to weave baskets and create other things.

The village walk is guided and includes a school visit when school is in session during the year.

Instead of the Village Walk you can take a village bike ride, but let us know beforehand.

The Village visit is a most interesting time in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

Dinner at Buhoma Lodge

Early breakfast and take your packed lunch and you are off for the encounter of a lifetime – Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

You will need a pair of hiking boots or stout shoes, long sleeved shirt, jeans or long trousers are good, hat, gardening gloves come in handy to pull yourself up on branches.  Long trousers will protect you from nettles, you will also need a light rain jacket or poncho.  You are in the rainforest and here it can rain at anytime.

The gorilla trek is between 2 and 5 hours plus depending on which gorilla group you track.  You will have a porter to assist you with the carrying of your things which allow you to take pictures and have a free hand.

You are also escorted by trackers, and a detail of the Ugandan Army – all for your safety and protection while gorilla tracking.

Breakfast and we drive to Lake Mburo Park which is a four drive and we check into the exclusive Mihingo Safari Lodge which is simply a great place to stay on your last night on your honeymoon safari in Uganda.

Each Tented Cottage has a private setting – there is a swimming pool for you to enjoy.  Each tented cottage has a private deck where you can sit and take in view of Lake Mburo National Park in front of you.  Even from your spacious bathroom you have a splendid view of the park.


During the afternoon take a boat safari on Lake Mburo where you can see hippos, crocodiles, otters, zebras, antelopes coming to water and more.

Day 10 Entebbe – Departure:

Breakfast and here are the options – horseback safari or mountain biking safari – see antelopes, zebras, savannah birds, from the back of a bike or horse.


Back to Entebbe Airport with sop at Equator.
