Exploring Bwindi Impenetrable ForestBwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park:   A dense forest with steep ridges that take a bit of stamina to traverse.  Here one finds the largest number of Mountain Gorillas and many birds that live in the forest and most visitors seek out one of the above.


Exploring Kibale RainforestKibale Forest National Park:  Primarily visited for its Chimpanzees, monkeys, including nocturnal ones and birds. There is a lot to explore here beyond the primates of Kibale Forest, there area birds, other mammals and reptiles.  Visit the Jungle of Kibale Forest.


Exploring Kidepo Valley National Park UgandaKidepo Valley National Park Information: One of the least visited Parks due to its distance and problems of reaching it by road, cost of transportation and at times the possibility of banditry near the border with Kenya.  You can fly into the park from Kampala via Eagle Air .  The Park is known for its predators such Lions, Zebras, Giraffes, 12 kinds of antelopes, 77 kinds of mammals in all and 463 kind of bird species.

Exploring Mgahinga National ParkMgahinga Gorilla National Park Information:  A wow park for its rugged beauty, sought out for its gorillas when they are not in Rwanda, besides hiking and climbing the volcanic peaks that are found there.  Endangered Golden Monkey Tracking is also done here.


Mount Elgon National Park:  Waterfalls, hiking, climbing.  Park is located on border with Kenya, the peak is on the Ugandan side.  Lots of interesting vegetation and birds.  The vegetation changes to Afro-Montane as you climb higher.


Exploring Murchison Falls National ParkMurchison Falls National Park Information:  Uganda's largest National Park sought for its legendary falls, a boat ride up to them with lots of wildlife in the waters and along the shores, including a massive number of birds.  One of the prime game parks in Uganda known for its big game animals and diversity of wildlife, plus you can fish the Nile for Nile Perch.


Rwenzori Mountains National Park:  The tallest mountain range in Africa, glaciers, snow capped peaks right on the equator knowing for its 7 day climbing and hiking trails, mountain climbing, forest birds and Afro-montane plants.


Exploring Queen Elizabeth National ParkQueen Elizabeth National Park Information:  You will find lots of big game here, the largest concentration of hippos in Africa, 612 species of birds and chimpanzees.  A fabulous park, great to see Ugandan wildlife in you are gorilla tracking in nearby Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.


Semiliki National ParkSemiliki National Park:  Is part of the famous Rift Valley, hot springs, waterfalls, many birds not found anywhere else in Uganda.  A perfect place to explore if you are taking a mini-hike in the Rwenzori Mountains.  The hot springs alone are worth exploring this park.
