Mweya Safari Lodge (Up-Market Luxury): $$$ Mweya Safari Lodge is 49 rooms of luxury, it has fantastic and wellMweya Safari Lodge prepared food and can meet any need from vegetarian to the carnivore lover.  Stay in comfort, swim in the pool, relax with a drink overlooking the Kazinga Channel. Pinch yourself, yes, you are in the wilderness but wilderness with style and class at Mweya. Meya

The rooms are very well maintained and pleasantly furnished.  There are many comforts from private baths to lovely restaurants overlooking Kazinga Channel.

It is in a most beautiful location, Bradt's Guide says it is a Sheraton in the Bush.  Your rooms have private verandas with view to live for.  A perfect place to stay at Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda.  It is the Lodge of choice in the Mweya region of Queen Elizabeth Park for up-market travelers and at reasonable up-market price - full board.


Jacana Safari Lodge (Up-Market Luxury):$$$  Located at the northern end of Maramagambo Forest overlooking Lake Nyamasingiri, volcanic crater lakes, wood and thatch construction owned by GeoLodges. Double Suites with private verandas overlooking the lake that looks like a picture.

Bar and restaurant are literally suspended over the lake.  You can watch the animals while you eat.  The food is superb and there is a great bar.  GeoLodges has done a most beautiful job putting this taste of paradise together.

You can hire a boat and even eat lunch or dinner on it...the Captain's Table, appropriately called.


Katara Lodge

Katara Lodge (Up-Market): $$$ Located just outside of the park this up market lodge provides comfort in style for the visitor to Queen Elizabeth National Park.  The rooms are nicely furnished for your stay in the wilderness. The food is excellent and the lodge is near the main wildlife game tracks for easy access.

There are five luxurious thatched cottages that will provide you comfort and rest after a day of tracking the wildlife and birds of Queen Elizabeth Park.  This is one of the hidden jewels of Queen Elizabeth National Park.  Providing luxurious comfort for you, plus you have a sense of privacy here since there are only 5 cottages available. 


Hippo Hill Camp (moderate upper end price):$$$  A new lodging facility located in the Queen Elizabeth Park buffer zone in close vicinity to Mweya area and it is a lovely setting, new facility and moderately priced.  It overlooks a beautiful lake and has ten Hippo Hill Tented Camptents where you can spend your time of rest and relaxation at Queen Elizabeth National Park.

There is a nice restaurant facility for you to eat and of course it is full board with a well stocked bar alongside the restaurant.

The camp is overlooks Lake Edward and some islands and is near the Katwe salt lake and Munyanyange crater lakes.


Kingfisher Lodge

Kingfisher Lodge Kichwamba (moderate):$$  Outside of the park and yet it is the only moderately priced facility that is quality around. 

They have a very good track record at the Kingfisher Lodge in Jinja and hope to continue that at Queen Elizabeth National Park.  It has turned out be a lovely facility at a moderate price


Queen Elizabeth Bush Camp

Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge:  (moderate): $$ This a small tented camp of 6 tents overlooking Kazinga Channel. A perfect setting for the moderate Traveler.  Wildlife abounds in the area and you can sit on your tent veranda and simply watch while having a coffee or tea.

Centrally located - just outside of the park and within easy driving distance to the Game Tracks and Kyambura Gorge for Chimpanzee Tracking.  Self contained - attached shower and toilet 2 showerheads.


Simba Safari Camp (moderate-reasonable):$ -$$ This is a new facility that opened up in December of 2008.  Breathtaking views of the nearby crater lakes.  It is the Simba Safari Camp closest accommodation to the Kasenyi Game drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park, located just outside of the park.  The restaurant serves good food at reasonable prices.  Simba Safari Camp is a most welcome addition to the moderate market.  It certainly represents one of the best values for Queen Elizabeth National Park. Beds in common rooms such as for backpackers can are about 10 usd per night.

Each room is self contained and has a veranda, and most beautiful views located on the equator.  This has been a favorite amongst budget travelers and those looking for a moderate price full board at Queen Elizabeth Park.


Mweya Hostel

Albertine Rift Safari Hostel  Mweya (Budget):$  Most might know it by Institute of Ecology or Mweya Hostel - budget lodging in the beautiful Mweya Peninsula area.  Single and double rooms with shared facilities, there is a house for a larger family and group that is self contained.  A restaurant and canteen are there to serve visitors.

Mostly pack backers stay here since it one of the lower priced accommodation facility and meets their need at Queen Elizabeth Park in the Mweya area of the park


Ishasha Plains Accommodations:  The Home of the Tree Climbing Lions and the choices in that sector of Queen Elizabeth Park in Uganda.  Ishasha is a beautiful region of Queen Elizabeth Park, but attracts fewer people, better for you, you will enjoy your stay on the Ishasha Plains.


The Problem with Trip Advisor:  Trip Advisor can be most informative - but it can also be manipulated by fake and false reviews.  Some tips and advice regarding Safari Accommodations in Uganda.  Trip Advisor is a great tool, but it certainly is not only right on-it is written by humans who may have different expectations from you and it also can be manipulated.
