African Humanitarian Aid and Development Organizations:

• Abaana:  Meaning children - is  a faith based humanitarian relief & child sponsorship organization with heart.  I have met the founder and know his heart for Africa, to serve and empower children to become what they were meant to be through a life giving education.

• Ambassadors of Hope International:  Working with children born into the slums of Kampala, Uganda, East Africa.

• Orphans in Africa:  A home for  HIV Aids orphans and street kids - these children desperately need your sponsorship so they can live normal, happy lives. This is a group that one can trust and believe in.

• Fields of Life:  This site represents a work of grace in Africa.  I have seen a lot of organizations there, but here you have someone who pours their heart and soul into Africa. Touching a community outside of Kampala in a truly effectual manner.  Educating children, bringing health and well-being to a village, instilling hope and faith.  This is a site I personally endorse and believe in.

• Hoffnungszeichen - Sign of Hope:  A German organization that is deeply involved in Africa.  It is a faith based, Christian organization active in humanitarian relief and also in human rights for those who are oppressed such as people in South Sudan and other places.  They make Hope and Peace real to people who are overburdened with the trials of life, war, oppression and other human maladies.  You can always use Google and use the translation available through them into English.  Most of all take a look at this meaningful site.

• Lead International:  Helping the poor help themselves.  This is a site with a big heart and dream for Guinea-Bissau in West Africa.  A very close friend of mine has this dream to empower people to become self-sufficient, not through aid, but through trade.  He is taking a product that many people grow there and is attempting to market it in the West at a fair price for the farmers of Guinea-Bissau.  More people with dreams such as his are needed in Africa.
